1. About VibeLog
VibeLog is an iOS application that helps you track meals, workouts, weight, and daily steps. It uses AI to estimate nutritional values from meal descriptions you provide. VibeLog is developed and operated by Brad Hudson ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use VibeLog. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
3. Your account
VibeLog uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. By creating an account you agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your Apple ID credentials secure
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us immediately at support@vibelogapp.com if you believe your account has been compromised
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Important health disclaimer
VibeLog is a general wellness and fitness tracking tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Specifically:
- Calorie and nutrition estimates provided by VibeLog's AI are approximations only. They are not nutritional advice and should not be relied upon for medical or dietary purposes
- AI-generated estimates may be inaccurate. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian for personalized nutrition guidance
- VibeLog does not account for individual medical conditions, allergies, medications, or specific dietary requirements
- Step counts and exercise data are for general wellness tracking only and are not medical measurements
- Do not use VibeLog as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
If you have or suspect you have an eating disorder, diabetes, or any other condition where nutritional tracking could be harmful, please consult a healthcare professional before using this app.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use VibeLog only for its intended purpose — personal health and fitness tracking. You must not:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
- Use the app to attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions
- Submit input designed to manipulate or misuse the AI model (prompt injection)
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits
- Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the app
6. AI-generated content
VibeLog uses AI to estimate nutritional content from meal descriptions. By using this feature:
- You understand that AI estimates are approximations and may not be accurate
- You understand that your meal description text is sent to a third-party AI provider for processing (see our Privacy Policy)
- You take responsibility for verifying nutritional information that is important to your health
- You agree not to use the AI feature for any purpose other than personal meal logging
7. Free tier and usage limits
VibeLog is free to use within the following daily limits:
- Up to 5 AI-powered meal log estimates per day using our higher-quality model
- Up to 20 additional AI meal log estimates per day using our standard model
- After these limits are reached, you can continue logging meals manually
We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time. We will notify users of significant changes within the app.
8. Intellectual property
VibeLog and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Brad Hudson and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on VibeLog without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of the data you input into VibeLog. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process and store that data solely to provide the app's functionality.
9. Availability and modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of VibeLog at any time
- Change features, limits, or functionality with or without notice
- Perform maintenance that may temporarily make the app unavailable
We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by unavailability or changes to the app.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
VibeLog is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy of AI-generated nutritional estimates
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Security of data transmission
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Brad Hudson shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Health outcomes resulting from reliance on AI nutritional estimates
- Loss of data
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Any damages arising from your use or inability to use VibeLog
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of VibeLog shall not exceed $100 USD.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brad Hudson from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of VibeLog, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Georgia.
14. Apple App Store terms
VibeLog is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of VibeLog is also subject to Apple's Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between these terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms shall govern with respect to the distribution and use of the app through the App Store.
Apple is not responsible for VibeLog and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple has no warranty obligations with respect to VibeLog.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of VibeLog after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to updated terms, you must stop using VibeLog.
